Louise Hamilton-Welsh MBA MCIPD, joined NHS Borders in 2008 as Executive Director of Workforce following two previous NHS roles as Head of Workforce Modernisation at National Services Scotland and Associate Director of HR at Northampton PCT. Having started her HR career as a senior trainee for Marks & Spencer, Louise has benefited from a broad variety of roles including HR/OD Director of a Learning Disabilities Charity, HR Project Manager for Thomas Cook Global Financial Services & HR Consultant for Advantica Pipeline Technologies. Louise also enjoyed living for a time in France and Holland, enabling a period working at the European Parliament in Strasbourg and as an HR/OD Consultant in France and the UK.
