Wednesday - 8.00am - 1.00pm (Half Day)

All consultations are by appointment. Urgent appointments are usually available for the same day as requested. If you feel that it is vital to be seen on that day and there are no available appointments, you will be given an urgent (5 minute) appointment with whichever doctor is available.

Out of hours:

All weekday calls between 6.00pm and 8.00am, and weekend calls between Friday 6.00pm and Monday 8.00am are dealt with by BECS, the local GP cooperative. These calls are dealt with by the GP on duty, who will give advice, ask for the patient to be seen at Borders General Hospital, or arrange a home visit. The telephone number for BECS is 08454 242424. An answering machine gives this number if you ring the surgery out of hours.

Home visits:
If you need the doctor to call because someone is too ill to be brought to the surgery then please telephone before 10.30am. The receptionist may ask you for some details so that the doctor can assess how urgent your problem is and, if necessary, give advice until he/she can visit you.

Repeat prescriptions:
Repeat prescription requests should be made between 10am and 12.30pm.
