Making an appointment:
To make an appointment ring 013873 75100.
All afternoon and evening surgeries are by appointment. Wednesday afternoon surgeries and some evening surgeries, will have only one Doctor available. Morning surgeries are open access where you turn up and wait. Two Doctors consult during morning surgeries.

Out of hours:

For EMERGENCIES always dial 999 before you call the surgery. Please make sure that only urgent calls are made outside normal surgery hours and on public holidays. For urgent medical advice or treatment when the Health Centre is closed telephone NHS 24 on 0845 24 24 24 Your call will be put through to a nurse advisor to allow your symptoms to be assessed.
The Nurse Advisor may be able to help you without the need to contact a Doctor.
If you need to see a Doctor you could be asked to attend an appropriate Out Of Hours Centre.
Under certain circumstances the Duty Doctor may visit you in your own home.

Home visits:
Please telephone for a home visit before 10.30am of that day. Home visits are always made after surgery hours (unless urgent medical help is needed) and are usually made within 8 hours. It will of course save time if you can come to the surgery. Please do not request a home visit unless absolutely necessary.

Repeat prescriptions:
Dispensing Arrangements
This is a dispensing practice. Medicines can be collected from the practice during opening hours 9.00am -6.30pm except Wednesday from 9.00am -5.00pm.
Two working days notice is requested for repeat prescriptions as Doctors need to check all medicines. It will not be possible to produce your prescription on demand while you wait, unless for an urgent problem. Any medicines that you no longer use or are out of date, should be returned to the surgery for safe disposal.

Suggestions/Complaints:
We operate a Practice complaints procedure as part of the NHS system for dealing with complaints. The practice complaints leaflet is available from reception and gives details of the procedure. Please ask any of the staff to give you the information. Our aim is to give you the highest possible standard of service and we will try to deal swiftly with any problems that may occur.
