East Community Mental Health Team (Duns)
What we do:
Services include assessment and treatment of clients, between the ages of 16 and 69, suffering from functional mental illness.
When are we open:
These services are provided Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Area covered:
Duns and surrounding area.
About our services:
Assessment and treatment is undertaken in collaboration with the client concentrating on clients with more acute and debilitating conditions which are affecting their daily life.
The aim of care is to encourage reintegration in to normal life as soon as possible utilising local services both statutory and voluntary.
A multidisciplinary team provides care. The team includes:
- 4 Community Psychiatric Nurses
- 1 Consultant Psychiatrist
- 2 Psychiatrist and Trainee Psychiatrist
- 1 Social Worker
- 1 Occupational Therapist
How to access our services:
Referrals are made by the clients General Practitioner, Social Work or the Borders General Hospital.
