Information on the Freedom of Information service

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 promotes openness and accountability by ensuring that any person requesting information from a public body like the NHS, will receive that information, subject to certain exemptions. The Act also requires us to adopt and maintain a Publication Scheme which lists the types of information we will regularly publish.

Our Publication Scheme sets out the documents we will make available routinely. Most of these are available on this website and are listed under their classifications according to the Publication Scheme.
