Your Health Our Future
NHS Borders is asking the staff and the public to become involved in planning the changes needed for the future of local health care through the launch of its Your Health Our Future campaign.
The launch of Your Health Our Future marks the first stage in engaging and involving stakeholders with the organisation’s Strategic Change Programme.
The campaign reflects and reinforces a Case for Change document, which has been prepared to support the work of the Strategic Change Programme. The document outlines the challenges facing NHS Borders and the reasons for reviewing health service in order to meet these challenges.
As part of this engagement and involvement process, a Your Health Our Future leaflet and postcard have been produced. The postcards are being distributed to community and public distribution points, such as community and health centres, hospitals and libraries. The more detailed leaflet is available on request.
Both documents provide contact details should you wish to find out more about Your Health Our Future, get involved in shaping the health service or get more information on local health issues.
NHS Borders is also planning a series of ‘conversations’ with stakeholders throughout the Strategic Change Programme. These conversations will involve contacting existing community and stakeholder groups and identifying opportunities to engage with them.
The details of this engagement process, which will begin by the end of August, are being finalised. It will involve a campaign of information materials, presentations, and direct and indirect conversations with stakeholders.
